portatour® is a SaaS app from Viennese company impactit designed specifically for sales and field service and anyone who needs to optimize routes. portatour® organizes and schedules sales routes at the click of a button, offers many customization options and integrates easily with corporate CRMs, e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics CRM and Veeva CRM. It is suitable for both individual sales reps and for managing the entire field service team. Thanks to its fully automated sales-route planning, portatour® saves you time and miles.

The solution

I had the opportunity to work in direct contact with the sales and development team at portatour®, which allowed me to fully understand the product and company philosophy and to resolve any doubts, even the most trivial ones, in real time. The initial step was to create a glossary to define the basic terminology. We then moved on to the localization of the app, working closely with the developers to nip in the bud any inconsistencies or space issues. Before beginning the translation of the website and blog articles, SEO research was conducted to understand which keywords were most appropriate.

The project is varied and includes various text genres that correspond to different registers and translation techniques. For the app, microcopy and UX writing were used to simplify the user experience; for the website, blog and other marketing materials, a freer and more creative approach (transcreation) was required to make them enjoyable to read; and for the manuals, clarity was the watchword, to provide immediate and useful instructions. The voiceover of portatour® promotional and instructional videos is my own, it was my first experience and I'm ready to do it again😉.
